Friday, May 3rd: Goodbye Ireland, Hello Scotland!

A view of the Welsh countryside from the Train
Today we sadly left Dublin, Ireland. We loved exploring the city and how friendly everyone in the  city was. However, finally actually being in the UK is equally exciting!

We all were up by 6 AM today to take a taxi to the ferry station. After loading our luggage and taking a bus onto the boat, we all found a lounge and got comfy. Some of us spent the time sleeping, while others ate breakfast, and some even fentured outside to see the disapearing Irish coast.

We got off the boat at noon-isn where we immediately hopped onto a train to take us from Wales to Scotland. We had to switch trains twice, which was a wee bit confusing as the trains were extremely busy due to it being a bank holiday in the UK, so everyone was travelling for the long weekend.

After the very long train ride to Edinburgh, we hiked up the cobblestone hills of the city to our hotel. When we got to our hotel, we were relieved that our long day of travelling was finally coming to an end. After a very delicious meal of pizza, we all headed to bed, excited to explore Edinburgh in the morning.
